According to this study carried out in 2016, cape gooseberry has a high content of potassium and phosphorus compared to other fruits. The content of phenolic compounds (which may play a role in the inhibition of carcinogenesis), in cape gooseberry, is higher than that reported in fruits such as mango, pineapple and banana.
